Plant Operator I

Responsibilities

• Provides physical plant construction and maintenance services for hospital facilities under the direction of engineering senior management.
• Assesses, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and repairs facility components requiring design, life-cycle planning, repair, replacement, or new installation.
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, building standards, and hospital policies.
• Leads the physical plant team in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of general building components, equipment, and apparatus to provide a comfortable and safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in Plant Operations required.
• Plant Operator or equivalent certificate preferred.
• Operator apprenticeship preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 to $31.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
