Responsibilities
- Manages the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of the material.
- Performs cleanup of the area as required.
- Checks tank levels for necessary space for material processing.
- Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations.
- Wears and properly uses safety equipment at all times.
- Operates and maintains shop equipment.
- May perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Operates heavy equipment including forklift truck and skid steer.
- May perform minor electrical maintenance functions.
- Cleans and maintains process equipment.
- Performs maintenance and repairs.
- Collects samples to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues.
- Completes receiving and disposal logs.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience as a Plant Operator with the maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery (preferred).
- 1 or 2 years of industrial or plant operations experience.
- 1 or 2 years of maintenance and mechanical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting pumps, motors, and equipment.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance programs.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Laboratory experience a plus.
- Must be willing to work in environments with strong odors.
- Must be willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and climb ladders.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE: hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Reliable transportation.
- Good eye-hand coordination and organizational ability.
- Ability to communicate with others for safety and efficiency requirements.
- Ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed.

Pay
