Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor an aggregates plant facility
- Routine equipment/plant maintenance
- Involvement with plant improvement projects
- Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant
- Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
- Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Service and maintain equipment as trained and directed by management
- Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations
- Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift, loader) as needed for maintenance tasks
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have a dedication to safe work practices at all times
- Previous maintenance experience
- Experience welding and cutting is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
- Willingness to work a regular evening shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Team player attitude
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
