Plant Operator and Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor an aggregates plant facility
• Routine equipment/plant maintenance
• Involvement with plant improvement projects
• Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant
• Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Service and maintain equipment as trained and directed by management
• Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations
• Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift, loader) as needed for maintenance tasks
• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices at all times
• Previous maintenance experience
• Experience welding and cutting is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
• Willingness to work a regular evening shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Team player attitude
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
