About the role
This position is responsible for all manufacturing at the East Hanover site, including shipping and receiving operations. Manufacturing at the site encompasses lubricants blending, chemical plant operations, grease manufacturing, and finished goods packaging. The site is a Process Safety Management (PSM) regulated facility.
Reports include direct reports consisting of production supervisors and process engineer(s), and indirect reports consisting of area leads, operators, and shipping and receiving personnel.
Responsibilities
- Manage production operations within a production department, possibly across multiple shifts or several departments on a single shift
- Coordinate separate manufacturing operations or areas using common production equipment, methods, and standards
- Direct all related manufacturing personnel actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, and safety
- Develop and attain production schedules at optimum productivity, quality, and cost levels
- Provide technical and operational coaching to production supervision/shift leaders
- Direct production activities to achieve targeted volumes, productivity, and cost performance
- Lead manufacturing strategic planning to ensure manufacturing capabilities meet current and planned business needs; directly oversee tactical execution of these plans
- Recommend and implement improvements in production flow or methods
- Exhibit strong safety leadership and demonstrate competence in Process Safety Management, including but not limited to PHAs, hazard studies, and Management of Change
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Required years of professional experience: 10+ years
- Leadership experience required
- Professional experience in operations required
- Project management experience required
- Senior management and strategy experience strongly preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Location

Pay
Minimum $121,600 to maximum $202,600. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
