About the role

The Plant Operations Leader at the Kingsford Burnside plant is responsible for leading manufacturing operations across the retort and briquetting areas and achieving performance targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations across retort and briquetting in a 24/7 operating environment, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.
  • Serve as a process expert for retort and briquetting; increasing stability, capability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure systems are in place to promote problem identification, root cause analysis, and appropriate countermeasures.
  • Drive adherence to standard work, centerlines, and process controls, ensuring consistency in operations.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to troubleshoot equipment reliability and optimize process performance.
  • Leverage data, process trends, and performance metrics to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Support development and execution of CILs, centerlines, and abnormality management systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams across multiple shifts, building accountability and engagement.
  • Develop team capability in both technical process understanding and operational execution.
  • Drive a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement across all shifts.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive culture aligned with Clorox values.
  • Support capital projects and technical upgrades within retort and briquetting.
  • Leverage systems such as SAP/ERP, MES, and performance dashboards to support execution and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Degree and/or 2+ years of manufacturing leadership or technical experience.
  • Technical knowledge of process manufacturing systems.
  • Experience managing and leading teams across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership capability with a focus on coaching, training, and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • SAP/MES experience preferred.
  • Degree in Engineering preferred.
