This position is with a manufacturing facility specializing in vibration monitoring technology, serving customers with mission-critical performance and regulatory requirements. The Plant Manager holds full leadership responsibility for plant operations, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and financial results, and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

About the Role

The Plant Manager leads all day-to-day plant operations to meet or exceed targets in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity, ensuring consistent execution of standardized manufacturing processes and driving improvements in throughput and on-time delivery.

  • Develops and executes operational strategy aligned with growth, cost optimization, and capacity expansion.
  • Champions Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, establishing KPIs that drive accountability across the organization.
  • Owns full plant P&L accountability, including budgeting, cost control, and capital investment planning.
  • Partners with senior leadership on long-term strategic planning.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops a high-performing, multi-functional team, building organizational capability through succession planning and talent development.
  • Works cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to align operations with business and customer needs.
  • Serves as a key liaison between plant operations and executive leadership.
  • Ensures full compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, provides oversight for quality systems, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Promotes a strong safety culture across all plant operations.

This role is manufacturing-based and non-sedentary. It typically requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, or climbing for extended periods, with occasional exposure to dust and the ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles (Operations Manager, Plant Manager, or similar).
  • Proven experience leading operations in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong cross-functional experience working with internal teams and external customers or suppliers.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, IFS and Made2Manage preferred.
  • Working knowledge of databases and reporting tools.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience interpreting and managing financial statements.
  • Strategic, data-driven approach to decision-making.

Pay

$160,000 to $190,000 per year.

Schedule

Full-time, standard plant hours.
