Key Tasks & Activities

  • Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.
  • Serves as a member of the HACCP and Food Safety Team (if applicable).
  • Covers plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develops and controls profits, plans, and budgets, as well as builds and presents cases to secure CAPEX expenditures for the coming year.
  • Measures KPIs, financial justification, and contract negotiations.
  • Implements cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Encourages participation from teams to establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Controls and minimizes labor overtime and repair expenses and holds each department accountable.
  • Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment, guides for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities or equipment when necessary.
  • Provides direction, development, and leadership to managers to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Communicates with senior managers to improve future objectives for the plant.
  • Develops initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing process operations and implements initiatives.
  • Works with the management team to ensure teamwork, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Reviews and approves plans for the control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency, and engineering effectiveness.
  • Supervises and manages employees, establishing strong working relationships with other functional managers.
  • Liaises with customers on day-to-day requirements.
  • Complies with all company safety policies and procedures, as well as maintains good housekeeping, GMP practices, and Global Food Safety practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or five years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance engineering.
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and standards.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
