Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, profitable, steady, and efficient operation of an ALPLA production plant
  • Ensure a sustainable positive working culture and active personal development for plant personnel
  • Oversee plant safety and OSHA compliance
  • Manage P&L responsibility, expense control, and group reporting
  • Handle budgeting, investment planning, and capacity planning
  • Manage customer service, human resources, logistics, and warehouse operations
  • Maintain quality assurance and existing accounts
  • Oversee policies, procedures, machine, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Implement and ensure proper usage of OPEX initiatives
  • Recruit new employees (with Hiring Manager and HR)
  • Perform disciplinary actions
  • Assess training needs of staff and ensure execution of training
  • Provide personnel development, training, and knowledge-sharing culture
  • Perform annual performance evaluations and goal settings

Performance Metrics

  • Safety Risk Level: Proactively identify and mitigate safety risks, with documented improvements or action plans implemented quarterly
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE): Identify and address root causes of downtime to improve OEE performance as defined in the annual Target Declaration process
  • Waste Percentage: Maintain waste levels at or below target percentage of total production; implement waste reduction initiatives contributing to overall improvement
  • Cost Controlling: Support adherence to department budget by identifying cost-saving opportunities and reducing non-value-added activities

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent education/work experience
  • At least 5 years of related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven team-building capabilities
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance functions
  • Fundamental understanding of plastic manufacturing process
  • Technical aptitude
