Plant Manager | Aerospace
About the role
Lead day-to-day operations for the entire facility at a global manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS regulations
- Provide overall leadership for all plant operations, ensuring the achievement of safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost (SPQDC) objectives
- Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance across all levels of the organization
- Ensure effective execution of production planning to meet customer demand and on-time delivery targets
- Lead plant transformation initiatives focused on productivity, capacity expansion, and cost competitiveness
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence methodologies
- Identify and execute opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cycle time improvement
- Develop and drive a multi-year site optimization roadmap, including automation and digitalization where applicable
- Own and manage the plant P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Deliver improvements in gross margin, conversion costs, and asset utilization whilst managing capital investment aligned with strategic growth and operational efficiency goals
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing leadership team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational discipline
- Partner with engineering to drive process innovation and product manufacturability improvements
- Ensure adherence to quality systems (ISO or industry-specific standards)
- Collaborate with supply chain to optimize inventory levels, materials flow, and supplier performance
Requirements
Proven leadership skills within the engineering and manufacturing sector
Manage site-level P&L and cost reduction initiatives
Strong understanding of operational processes in the aerospace or similar industry

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in manufacturing
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
