Key Accountabilities

  • Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.
  • Manage and Support to scheduling and Production team to achieve on time delivery targets.
  • Manage labor and machine efficiency to achieve management profitability goals.
  • Support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct safety hazards.
  • Serve on in-house safety committee.
  • Adjust schedule hours to assure timely deliveries.
  • Provide adequate staffing to meet production requirements.
  • Schedule overtime to meet peak demands.
  • Participate in decisions related to employee selection, assignments, promotion, and discipline.
  • Enforce company’s affirmative action and equal opportunity program.
  • Maintain a working environment allowing for employee advancement and recognition based on job performance.
  • Communicate with employees on a regular and ongoing basis to maintain high morale by responding to questions and concerns.
  • Inspire team work to achieve common goals.
  • Encourage open expression of ideas to problem solve and resolve conflicts, achieving a win-win situation.
  • Oversee regularly scheduled production meetings.
  • Support and participate in plant meetings as required.
  • Facilitate communication between manufacturing groups and project management groups.
  • Promote effective use of teams.
  • Maintain open communication with General Manager on issues of importance.
  • Provide support to other activities as needed (Engineering/Sales).

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Assertive self-starter who can motivate others.
  • Experience with good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives/programs.
  • Experience with engineered resins in an injection molding-processing environment.
  • Experience with high precision injection molds in a high precision injection molding-processing environment.
  • Experience with MRP and other manufacturing scheduling computer systems (both PC and Mainframe).
  • Well-developed leadership skills and ability to develop, foster, and maintain a team-oriented work environment.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints for parts and injection molds.
