Plant Maintenance Technician

About the role

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in Pittsburg, CA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
• Schedule and oversee repair, modification, and maintenance activities
• Supports the development and review of standard operating procedures
• Participate in process safety activities including HAZOPs and FMEAs and acts as a site liaison with the corporate process safety group
• Oversees new equipment installations
• Ensure safe work practices are followed by maintenance and operations personnel
• Provide technical input on equipment lifecycle and new equipment purchases
• Cook up material and equipment movement, contributes to Six Sigma projects, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science (preferred) or a high school diploma or GED
• Three to five (3–5) years of equipment maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) elements, including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, and Operating Procedures
• Working knowledge of welding techniques
• Experience with high-pressure piping systems and familiarity with cryogenic pumps and systems
• Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Valid driver's license

Pay

$30.00 - $38.00 hourly
