Plant Maintenance Technician - 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Position Summary

The Plant Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required in order to attain maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations. The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with an unbending focus on safety. Responsible to complete assigned tasks and projects in a highly effective, efficient, and safe manner. Supports high performance in a professional healthcare and hospitality laundry environment through cleanliness and infection prevention. Works in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency.

Essential Duties And Other Responsibilities

• Completes tasks and projects as assigned and completes proper documentation as appropriate.
• Participate and add value to committees, meetings, activities as called on by the manager.
• Maintains an environment that is safe through cleanliness and in an orderly condition.

• Interpersonal Communicates in a professional and courteous manner to all employees and managers.
• Constant reminder of safety in all aspects of operations.
• Promotes a harassment free environment, reporting any issues to management.

Required Education, Training, Experience and Licenses

Required: None. Preferred: High School Diploma, Technical Certification, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Particular Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to effectively complete mechanical or electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
• Must exhibit self-initiative, accountability, and flexibility.
• Must have basic computer use skill set.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
