Responsibilities
- Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of recycling production systems.
- Adhere to all applicable safety standards and promote a safe work environment.
- Follow and adhere to all ISO, OSHA, and DEQ requirements.
- Utilize the Equipment Asset Management (EAM) system to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.
- Consult with higher-level technicians on complex systems issues.
- Perform scheduled inspection, basic and advanced preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, logs, permits, and required documentation.
- Engage and participate in the department’s continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrate behaviors and attitudes that emphasize and focus on permanent resolutions to problems.
- Assist in set up and installation of new equipment.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Work with the maintenance planner to maintain the proper Min/Max of supplies and consumables.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) years’ experience in maintenance with proficiency in knowledge and demonstrated skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
- Corrective/breakdown experience preferred.
- Ability to diagnose problems and replace parts to repair.
- Experience maintaining Industrial Equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License with insurance and ability to maintain a valid driver’s license is required.
- Clean driving record with no citations for moving violations in the previous three years.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical, electronic, and mechanical trades.
- Be able to provide a small box of basic hand tools.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standard exists.
- Able to make appropriate arithmetic equations and complete written documentation.
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
- Able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to OSHA.
- Be self-motivated, responsible, and willing to work within the strict safety guidelines of the company's safety policy.
- Experience with process improvement, safety, quality, and 5S ideas.
- Works in a team environment or independently, but must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and a self-starter.
- Able to effectively communicate effectively both orally and in writing to teammates and leaders.
- A willingness to learn new tasks.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Take responsibility of self-performance.
- Have the ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of physical exertion and exposure to inside and outside weather conditions.
- Ability to perform manual work requiring periods of physical exertion that includes standing, kneeling, squatting, and walking.
- Periods of standing, walking, negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks, and platforms.
- Walking over uneven and/or slippery surfaces.
- Exposure to production environments that are not temperature-controlled.
- Manual dexterity for handling and manipulating items, samples, and tools.
- Vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to stand, balance, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Occasionally stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and walk while handling cases of product.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
