Job Summary
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler located in Birmingham, AL. The Corporate Plant Maintenance Mechanic position supports the maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment within the corporate plant.
Essential Functions
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, using hand and power tools.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines parts to detect imperfections and adjusts functional parts.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- May set up and operate metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- May initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- May repair electrical equipment.
- Requires welding and burning.
- Requires lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Sets up codes and repairs for production lines.
- Observes equipment operation to determine if problems are with equipment or operator.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and participates in food safety training.

Required Education and Experience
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Maintenance, preferred experience in Industrial Electrician and Multi-Craft Industrial roles.
