Responsibilities
- Oversee plant maintenance staff and coordinate projects, vendors, and equipment upkeep.
- Ensure compliance, minimize downtime, and support capital improvements.
- Lead and coach the maintenance team.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to food safety and performance standards.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with production, QA, and sanitation on repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain budget control and manage spare parts inventory.
- Support capital project development and implementation.
- Ensure SOX and safety compliance in all maintenance practices.
- Participate in audits and inspections.
- Track and report on maintenance KPIs and equipment reliability.
- Schedule and oversee contractors and outside vendors.
- Train staff on troubleshooting and new equipment.
Requirements
- 5 plus years in maintenance supervision in food or CPG environment.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and automation systems knowledge.
- CMMS or EAM system experience.
- Understanding of OSHA and food safety standards.
- Project management and capital planning experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
