About the role
As a Plant Maintenance Manager at Produce Innovations/Loffredo Fresh Foods, you will lead and direct the plant's maintenance function in a dynamic 24/6 operation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly Quality Assurance and Operations, to promote and support food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the plant’s maintenance function in a dynamic 24/6 operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly Quality Assurance and Operations, to promote and support food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate the skills and abilities of maintenance personnel; establish training programs to foster growth and development.
- Troubleshoot machinery and process systems during breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime by coordinating preventive maintenance and repair work with production and packaging supervisors.
- Maintain positive and effective communication with plant management, supervisors, service groups, and employees to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Manage all maintenance and technical needs for the facility and grounds, ensuring all systems operate at optimal performance.
- Implement corrective actions using key maintenance performance indicators to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry regulations, codes, and best practices related to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Engage in planning, evaluating, organizing, and delegating tasks to ensure the effective operation of the maintenance team.
- Manage employee selection, retention, development, and performance, ensuring a highly motivated and capable team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, including the ability to read schematics.
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to foster collaboration across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment management.
Qualifications
