About the Role

The PLT Uniformity Tech III has two major areas of responsibility: PLT TBM alignment and uniformity optimization. This role involves uniformity problem investigation, data collection, and daily activities for OE yield optimization and classified analysis. The Setup Technician will also be assigned special projects to complete.

Responsibilities

  • Alignments of TBM as needed
  • Vector Balancing of TBMs
  • Vector Balancing of Press/Mold systems
  • Set splice arrangements for all tires
  • Processing of evaluation tires on TUOs and Balancers
  • Component and Machine Waveform builds
  • Uniformity audits
  • Uniformity Problem Investigation work
  • Classified Tire Analysis work
  • Conducting Special Evaluations as assigned
  • Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Uniformity Manager or Engineer
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 5 years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available for this position)
  • No relocation assistance offered
  • Adherence to safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing safety gear such as hearing protection and steel-toe shoes
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, noise, and high heat
  • Physical tasks include lifting and bending

Pay

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
