Plant Operations Technician III

About the role

Manages the preventative maintenance and repair of physical plant systems and utilities, assuring optimal operation conditions by coordinating shutdowns, initiating repairs, and recommending improvements. Responds to request for general maintenance and preventive maintenance trouble calls. Plans, works and performs diversified and involved operations to install, repair, replace and test systems and utilities according to code requirements and manufacturers recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manages preventative maintenance and repair of physical plant systems and utilities
• Assures optimal operation conditions by coordinating shutdowns, initiating repairs, and recommending improvements
• Responds to request for general maintenance and preventive maintenance trouble calls
• Plans, works and performs diversified and involved operations to install, repair, replace and test systems and utilities
• Performs these tasks according to code requirements and manufacturers recommendations

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years applicable experience required
• EPA 608 Type I Certification required. CHFT designation preferred
• Forklift certification required within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required

Skills

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required
