POSITION SUMMARY
This position offers a 14/14 rotation schedule; travel expenses paid and housing available.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to operate plant processes using plant control systems.
- Maintain operational parameters and make necessary adjustments to meet specific production targets.
- Recognize equipment abnormalities and communicate with maintenance regarding significant repairs.
- Complete operating reports, notify of environmental deviations, and perform equipment lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
- Comply with all applicable EH&S policies and procedures.
- Perform skilled routine and non-routine maintenance on plant and surrounding equipment.
- Create and maintain operational and inspection records.
- Document all operational activities via plant logs and computer records.
- Ensure proper housekeeping.
- Recommend facility modifications or procedure changes to enhance operations and conduct cost analysis.
- Respond to unusual operating conditions and changing operational modes within critical time limitations.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and compliance with company’s driving policy and insurance requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating (day/night) shifts and some weekends and holidays
- Pass pre-employment and annual respirator fit testing
- Proficiency in using complex machines and equipment, specialized or advanced software programs
- Interpersonal communication skills for interfacing with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage time when given multiple tasks and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years experience in maintenance and/or operation of a natural gas plant
- Two-year associates degree or equivalent on-the-job training in specific skill area
- Experience working in a team environment, self-starter, and ability to collaborate with peers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well with peers and other crafts
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Able to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.
