Responsibilities

The Plant IV Final Finish Setup Tech will setup and adjust Final Finish equipment, detect and correct equipment issues, and make necessary machinery adjustments to assure continuous operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setup and adjust Final Finish equipment, including TUO, Micro-poise, Balance Grinders, Conicity Grinders, SOL, Geometry, and Gantry controls
  • Supervise the first tire/tires run following a setup or adjustments and approve for production
  • React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions and notify supervision as needed
  • Ensure correct entry and recording of labor time and perform all work indicated, required, or assigned by supervision
  • Follow standard practices and instructions with a high degree of accuracy and perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department Manager
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored

Qualifications

Basic qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years of mechanical experience. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Preferred qualifications include previous manufacturing experience or an Associate's Degree.

Work Environment

The job is located in a non-climate controlled environment with exposure to temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. The majority of work is completed in a high heat environment and involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery.

Pay

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613, based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
