Duties And Responsibilities
- Deploy and implement all Human Resources policies and systems at specified location.
- Establish and promote strong lines of communication, consistent with a facility of 1,100+ employees and one union (UAW).
- CBA/Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretations, interaction/conflict resolution with UAW committee representatives, grievances, arbitration and discipline.
- Collaborate with facility leadership team to support and advance proactive People and Culture strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Facilitate and monitor training programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Support plant leadership through organization design efforts and lead medium- to large-scale change initiatives.
- Partner with plant leadership team to solve significant people and culture issues, providing guidance across key employment areas such as hiring, performance management, rewards, and organization design.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into team member complaints, grievances, and allegations of misconduct or policy violations.
- Ensure that team members are treated within Voltva’s values and expectations in all personnel actions, and that each team member is treated fairly and given every chance to succeed.
- Play an active role in developing, monitoring and achieving the operation’s goals through ongoing continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- BS or BA in Human Resources discipline is required and at least (5) or more years of management/leadership experience; an advanced degree or PHR/SPHR will be considered a plus.
Qualifications
- The ability to establish trust and credibility quickly with Human Resources team, plant leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid knowledge and understanding as well as strong experience with UAW policies, regulations and requirements in union environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholder-level executives and other senior management leaders while managing a wide range of issues and related HR projects and tasks.
- A modern HR/LR philosophy (embracing change, exhibit creativity and flexibility).
- A good understanding of compensation law, EEO, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with HR technological tools such as Applicant Tracking System, HRIS, and Payroll systems.
