Plant Foreman
About the role
The Plant Foreman is a working position leading a crew of hourly team members, responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and managing production efficiency with company standards and vision.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of production workers and equipment operators, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Monitors work schedules, allocating labor resources effectively, and ensuring that production goals are met without compromising quality.
- Enforce safety regulations and best practices alongside company policies.
- Regularly inspects equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Trains new hires and existing staff on operational procedures and safety protocols, fostering a skilled and cohesive team.
- Investigates and resolves production issues, including workflow bottlenecks.
- Effectively communicates production status and equipment integrity to management.
- Assists or fills in for the production team as needed, performing tasks such as general manual labor, cleaning, shoveling, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 4-6 years of related industry experience.
- Knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred.
- 1-2 years of lead role experience.
Qualifications
Strong leadership capabilities are necessary to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating team members and reporting to management.

Work Environment
Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures, near moving machinery and equipment, and in a noisy environment. Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions, with exposure to moving machinery, electrical hazards, and noisy environments.
