About the role
The Plant Controller is the leader of the Plant Finance team, responsible for all aspects of finance including Financial Analysis, Reporting, Budgeting, Standard Costing, understanding variance to plan, and implementing Operational Controls. You will drive and support business partnerships with plant leadership and regional finance leadership, leveraging finance knowledge to communicate the facility’s financial objectives to the workforce.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Finance KPIs for the plant as a member of the plant management team, engaging stakeholders on reporting, monitoring, and adjustments to achieve results.
- Drive finance objectives in collaboration with the management team.
- Develop financial plans and set financial policy for the plant.
- Maintain integrity of all financial records in accordance with US GAAP and/or local jurisdiction requirements.
- Assess and report on the plant’s financial results, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Analyze profitability and operational metrics per Tenneco standards.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate the plant’s budget, financial forecasts, and cash management related to net working capital.
- Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Drive initiatives to simplify processes, improve controls, and optimize operations.
- Develop the finance team by identifying and addressing skill or interpersonal gaps for individual growth and advancement.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to create a more efficient and effective finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading finance objectives within a manufacturing environment.
- Strategic vision and communication skills related to finance objectives.
- Proven experience pursuing operational excellence within Finance.
- Ownership and a proactive approach.
