Plant Engineer - Storm Lake, Iowa

This position is responsible for supervising and planning the cost-effective and timely execution of maintenance activities necessary to support the operation of all equipment and processes within the Processing Maintenance and Refrigeration departments.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and support maintenance supervisors and team members
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and company engineering teams on equipment modifications or installations
• Troubleshoot and resolve new or complex technical issues related to equipment and processes
• Efficiently manage and maintain highly automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics
• Coordinate and maintain the maintenance training program for maintenance team members
• Assist with budget preparation and oversight
• Coordinate team member work schedules
• Ensure required parts and assets are available and properly maintained
• Provide information to support management decision-making
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; a combination of related education and experience may be considered
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience, including experience leading maintenance supervisors
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Must communicate effectively and provide clear, specific direction
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, automation, and maintenance training processes
• Must exercise sound judgment, make effective decisions, stay organized, and appropriately accept and delegate responsibility
• Provides supervision to maintenance supervisors and/or team members performing similar or related work
• 1–5 trips annually
