Operating as both a private label manufacturer and direct-to-consumer snack brand innovator, we’re rapidly expanding and looking for driven, entrepreneurial people to grow with us. We are seeking a hands-on, high-impact Plant Director to lead daily operations across production, fulfillment, and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Lead end-to-end plant operations across production, fulfillment, and shipping
Drive execution against aggressive timelines in a short lead-time environment
Maintain full visibility across all active orders and proactively ensure on-time delivery
Ensure daily operational readiness, including staffing, materials, and production priorities
Throughput & Efficiency: Optimize output across all departments by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks
Drive labor efficiency while managing payroll within budget
Implement process improvements to increase throughput without unnecessary cost
Balance workflows to maintain consistent and efficient production flow
Team Leadership & Accountability: Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams
Establish clear performance metrics and hold teams accountable to results
Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement
Align closely with Scheduling and Planning to execute realistic production plans
Adjust labor and resources in real time based on operational demands
Food Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with GMP, FDA, HACCP, and all food safety standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready facility
Partner with QA/QC to ensure product quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Operations leadership
Communicate order status, risks, and recovery plans clearly and proactively
Support new product launches and ensure operational readiness
Qualifications
7–10+ years of plant or operations management experience
Background in food production, packaging, or regulated manufacturing required
Experience in high-mix, high-volume environments with short lead times
Strong expertise in throughput optimization, labor planning, and production execution
Proven leadership in fast-paced, execution-driven environments
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Working knowledge of GMP, FDA, and HACCP standards preferred
