Plant Controller-Mapleton IL
Essential Job Functions
- Lead all plant financial management activities, ensuring accurate manufacturing reporting and strong internal controls.
- Drive daily cost accounting and analysis, proactively identifying variances, investigating root causes, and recommending actions that enhance performance.
- Oversee production order accuracy (issues, receipts, settlements) and ensure smooth month-end closing processes.
- Manage fixed asset governance, including budget oversight, compliance with accounting policies, and financial evaluation of major investments.
- Deliver timely and clear financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to plant leadership and business stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits and oversee balance-sheet accuracy through regular reviews.
- Lead the annual plant budget process, including cost standards, census validation, and production volume planning.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain on slow-moving and off-grade inventory assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA preferred.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in Finance & Controlling, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong financial acumen with proven ability to translate operational decisions into financial impact.
- Demonstrated experience in cost accounting, forecasting, reporting, and fixed-asset management.
- Skilled communicator able to convey complex insights succinctly to senior leadership.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- SAP experience is required.
Pay
The expected salary range for this role is 83-136k annually. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, education, training, certification, location, and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
