Plant Controller

Job Summary

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at the plant level. This role partners closely with operations leadership to drive cost control, improve efficiencies, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage annual budgets and forecasts; track performance and analyze variances.

• Cost Management: Oversee cost accounting, monitor variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.

• Procurement Oversight: Monitor purchase price variance (PPV) and support alignment between procurement activity and cost targets.

• Internal Controls: Maintain effective controls to protect assets and ensure compliance.

• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accuracy, valuation, and periodic reconciliations.

• Financial Analysis: Provide insights and reporting to support business decisions.

• Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and leadership on key initiatives.

Requirements

• 5 + years of experience

• Plant Controller experience - including both account and finance responsibilities

• Foods or other CPG experience is preferred
