Plant Controller
Summary
This role oversees the financial operations and performance of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and control. Key responsibilities include managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring costs and variances, analyzing financial data, and providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
Essential Functions
- Supports in reviewing and understanding data related to work centers, routers, costing rollups/analysis, data integrity/reporting, and ongoing decision support as needed.
- Serves as a resource for capital and major expense projects.
- Manages inventory through physical inventories and cycle counting, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Prepares reconciliations, commentary, and journal entries for various transactions, ensuring reviews comply with regulatory documentation and approval requirements.
- Works closely with the Product Line Management and Operations team to set annual operating plan targets.
- Reviews and analyzes weekly and monthly financial results, establishing both short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Analyzes variances and guides the organization for cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
- Experience with accounting principles, financial analysis/reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, cost accounting, and inventory management concepts.
- Occasional travel (10-15%) may be required.
Additional Information
The compensation for this position will be determined based on various factors, including experience, skills, and internal equity. The expected salary range for this role is between $110,000 and $155,000. Additional compensation may include but is not limited to, bonus programs and an employee stock purchase plan.
