Responsibilities
- Direct plant-level accounting activities, including full-cycle cost accounting, job costing, and standard costing processes across manufacturing operations.
- Manage revenue accounting with a focus on percentage-of-completion methodologies and compliance with applicable accounting guidance.
- Lead the month-end close process and drive timely, accurate reporting in an environment with accelerated close expectations.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that help leadership evaluate operational results and future performance.
- Develop reports and performance metrics that explain manufacturing costs, variances, margins, and overall plant financial results.
- Partner with operations and production teams to monitor work orders, inventory activity, and cost drivers affecting profitability.
- Strengthen accounting controls and ensure financial records support audit readiness and public-company reporting standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 10+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing and job costing.
- Experience applying percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Proven ability to manage month-end close and deliver accurate financial results under tight deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and build useful financial models.
- SOX compliance experience
