Plant Controller

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, reputable manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join its leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, strategic finance professional who enjoys being more than just the numbers person. The ideal candidate will be a strong business partner to operations, helping drive financial performance, identify efficiencies, and support key business decisions. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance reporting. Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, production variances, and profitability. Partner closely with operational leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements. Maintain strong internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and safeguard company assets. Monitor financial and operational KPIs, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Collaborate with production teams to understand business operations and support strategic initiatives. Provide leadership, guidance, and development to accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, P&L analysis, and GAAP. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into business recommendations. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach.
