About the role
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the plant, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management principles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Manage the plant’s budget, preparing forecasts and variance analyses to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including internal management and external auditors.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Lead the implementation of new financial systems and processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in plant management or finance.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of accountants and analysts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
Qualifications
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience with plant-level financial controls and risk management.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
