About the role
Join our team as a Plant Controller and play a key role in driving financial performance and operational excellence across our manufacturing facility. This position blends hands-on cost accounting, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support business unit goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize the plant’s cost accounting system and controls
- Analyze sales, cost of sales, labor, product costing, and inventory variances
- Lead weekly financial forecasting and monthly reconciliations
- Cook up physical inventories and analyze results across departments and global vendors
- Prepare journal entries and manage standard costing, labor rates, and overhead allocations
- Conduct variance analysis and partner with teams to resolve cost discrepancies
- Lead annual operating and capital budget preparation
- Manage a Staff Accountant, providing guidance, support and development opportunities
- Interface daily with manufacturing and planning teams to improve inventory control
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley procedures and support quarterly testing
- Deliver accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5–7 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in interpreting operational documents and applying statistical analysis
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion is a plus

Pay
$135,000 - $185,000 annually
