On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). The Company’s operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants).

The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees.)

The role

• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Perform, prepare and execute month-end activities, Journal Entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate cash balances
• Prepare monthly plant financial statements and variance analysis reports
• Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the plant
• Track capital expenditures and manage fixed asset accounting
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements
• Absorb physical inventory counts and cycle counts
• Analyse production efficiency, scrap, and yield variances
• Provide financial insights to support plant decision-making and performance improvement

What you will bring to the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or packaging
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with environmental and safety cost tracking is a plus
