The role
- Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Perform, prepare and execute month-end activities, Journal Entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate cash balances
- Prepare monthly plant financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the plant
- Track capital expenditures and manage fixed asset accounting
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements
- Absorb physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Analyse production efficiency, scrap, and yield variances
- Provide financial insights to support plant decision-making and performance improvement
What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or packaging
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with environmental and safety cost tracking is a plus
