Plant 1 Pasting Machine Operator, 3rd Shift, Sun-Thur, 9:45pm-6:20am

About the Role

EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, with over thirty manufacturing and assembly plants worldwide. This role involves pasting and stacking quality grid plates to ensure continuous line production for Motive Power applications, including industrial lift trucks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete equipment set-up and changeover configurations.
• Paste quality plates/grids to current production standards.
• Observe pasting operation and clear jams as required.
• Maintain control of product quality.
• Make necessary machine adjustments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to do basic math.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the local language.
• Possess a valid forklift driver's license.
• Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis; heavier items require assistance from mechanical devices or another employee.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the proper manner at all times.
• Must be able and willing to wear a respirator.
• Must be able and willing to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Work Environment

• This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead and fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure lead levels. Precautions are taken to reduce exposure risks.
• This role operates in a plant/warehouse environment with varying working conditions.
