Planning, Team Leader

About the role

The Halff Oklahoma City office is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the Planning and Landscape Architecture team. The ideal candidate will lead dynamic projects that enhance communities.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the Oklahoma planning and design team
• Facilitation of efforts to deliver award-winning projects
• Project leadership, team representation, and document preparation
• Interactive public engagement
• Balancing client, company, and project team responsibilities
• Strategic pursuits and marketing

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Regional/Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a planning capacity
• Three or more years of recent project management experience in a consultant or similar private sector capacity
• Well organized, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and relationship skills
• Comfortable with public speaking and community engagement
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Familiarity and experience with computer programs such as GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Office
• Experience working with both public and private sector clientele
• AICP and/or other certifications from allied professionals (ASLA, AIA, CNU-A, LEED, etc.)

Qualifications

• Experience working on a variety of projects including comprehensive plans, parks and trails planning, downtown and special area plans, mobility planning, codes and development guidance, and more
• Ability to travel periodically to client communities

• Collaborative work demonstrated in letters of interest and resumes
• Public speaking and community engagement experience
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Proficiency with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Office
