About the role

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of nuclear power plants. Responsible for developing and implementing maintenance plans, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Developing maintenance work packages for corrective, deficient and other work activities, ensuring maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the site procedures.
  • Performing job walk-downs in all areas of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant to validate correctness of scope, parts, clearances and work package preparation for the Maintenance Shop and Contract Maintenance.
  • Initiating required permits, clearance requests for the scope of work and identifying support needs from other groups.
  • Providing work instructions and oversight to the field at a level of detail determined by the scope of work to ensure due dates and completion standards are met.
  • Performing Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED and 5 years of related field experience in Electrical Maintenance (preferably) or Instrument and Controls Maintenance or Operations at a nuclear power plant required.
  • In lieu of experience, a degree in Engineering is required.
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex technical data from multiple sources (i.e., technical manuals, drawings, weld drawings, electrical and I&C schematics, procedures, and specifications).
  • Strong leadership skills for planning, being self-directed and working with peers and others.
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, customer service and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Maximo, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior planning experience in a nuclear plant highly preferred.
  • Previous site experience preferred.
  • Must reside within sitewide ERO response time.
