Contractor Tasks
- Carry out reviews and process JMLs for ordering alteration material, both LLTM and stock.
- Collaborate with EPD codes to ensure JMLs are technically complete and accurate.
- Review and assess alterations for installation on submarines undergoing maintenance at NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM.
- Coordinate and communicate project alteration material tracking status to the Material Response Team for all projects.
- Ensure that all non-nuclear/nuclear alteration materials are ordered and tracked.
- Communicate deficiencies to the SHIPALT Coordinator for resolution.
- Review JMLs in active status (ACT) and route them to personnel based on job/material type (i.e., mechanical, electrical, hazardous materials).
- Conduct JML reviews to validate the accuracy and correctness of material in accordance with non-nuclear/nuclear technical drawings and inspection requirements.
- Communicate with Code 500/510 for the receipt and processing of LLTM items from iFORECAST and CHURN (shipyard applications).
- Analyze listings during the pre-planning stage of the project.
- Ensure the processing of Non-standard items, particularly those requiring TDP, CIM, or other inspection-coded items, by the scheduled need date.
- Communicate with EPD Tech Codes on items that may require secondary review.
- Receive, screen, and process Material Control Division (MCDs) as required by the Submarine Project Planning Group (SPPG) Project Material Manager (PMM).
- Communicate with PMM regarding material with frustrated status (back ordered/delayed in which the estimated arrival date of the material far exceeds the need date) to research alternate item ordering.
- Use government applications such as Business Office, MRQT, and MAT to create various reports.
