Planning Specialist
About the role
Signal Advisors is seeking a Planning Specialist to elevate the technical planning acumen of our advisor community. This role involves translating client data into structured planning proposals, designing clear, modular recommendations, and guiding advisors through technical questions.
Responsibilities
- Translate advisor-submitted client data into structured planning proposals addressing various client objectives.
- Create clear, modular planning recommendations that advisors can present to clients, integrating asset management, annuities, and life insurance.
- Evaluate advisor goals and client constraints to identify suitable product strategies, using product knowledge within a planning framework.
- Guide advisors through technical questions related to planning logic, case design, suitability considerations, and the strategic role of individual solutions.
- Support field underwriting diligence by helping advisors understand risk factors and set appropriate expectations with applicants.
- Create and refine planning deliverables such as summaries, scenario comparisons, and plan modules to enhance advisor professionalism and client trust.
- Provide thoughtful, planning-first support via platform messaging, live phone support, and case consultations, bringing clarity and direction to sales-oriented advisors.
- Collaborate with the Planning team to evolve tools, templates, workflows, and internal knowledge bases as the offering grows.
Requirements
- A deep knowledge of insurance products, particularly annuities.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial planning or paraplanning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Pay
The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
