Planner, Supply Planning (NARS)
About the Role
We are seeking a Supply Planner to join our S&OP NARS team. The primary objectives are to ensure achievement of key metrics for inventory maintained at the America Distribution Center (ADC):
- Service level (fill-rate) – both to external retailers and DTC channels
- Inventory optimization/coverage (days of coverage)
- Visibility to and disposition of Excess & Obsolete inventory
The candidate is expected to work closely with Demand Planning and collaborate with international affiliates and domestic teams. The ideal candidate has a problem-solving attitude to understand root-cause issues and find proactive solutions, with demonstrated understanding of supply planning business processes and statistics-based stock policies to facilitate optimal use of networking capital (inventory, storage cost, logistics costs).
Responsibilities
Allocating Inventory
- Review IBP allocation and adjust where necessary based on stock availability, market freshness requirements, and active versions.
- Collaborate closely with the web team to ensure stock availability, provide recommendations on required inventory level, run analysis, investigate out-of-stock root-cause, and find proactive solutions for future demand.
- Help coordinate drop shipments.
- Collaborate with the US sales team for domestic stock allocation.
Controlling Optimal Inventory Level
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and analyze stock levels.
- Review below-target KPIs (fill rate and inventory coverage) and find problem-solving initiatives.
- Assess short-term changes in forecast and advise on inventory availability.
- Review low inventory list and advise on item priorities with multiple teams (e.g., production, quality, assembly, warehouse, transportation).
- Validate projected inventory to minimize excess stock and obsolete products.
- Provide a list of excess stock and obsolete products and follow up with teams on key actions to reduce liabilities.
- Communicate out-of-stock reports and risk of shortage.
- Execute quality release in systems.
- Produce and share reports of open orders.
Maintaining S&OP Parameters
- Calculate and update regularly safety stock & safety time.
- Gather information on item version switch, run analysis to estimate actual switch date, and provide visibility on ATS (available to ship) dates.
- Update product status and discontinuation date.
Requirements
- College degree in a relevant field or related job experience (including internships and co-ops).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., xlookup, pivot table, sumif, subtotal, conditional formatting, power query).
- 0-2 years of planning experience in a supply chain role, ideally in a manufacturing or supplier environment in the consumer goods industry.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- APICS ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Lean Six-Sigma certification.
- Experience with an ERP system (SAP experience is a plus).
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions and linkage.
- Ability to manage priorities and understand what is most important.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience.
