About the Role

We are seeking a Supply Planner to join our S&OP NARS team. The primary objectives are to ensure achievement of key metrics for inventory maintained at the America Distribution Center (ADC):

  • Service level (fill-rate) – both to external retailers and DTC channels
  • Inventory optimization/coverage (days of coverage)
  • Visibility to and disposition of Excess & Obsolete inventory

The role involves close collaboration with Demand Planning, international affiliates, and domestic teams. The ideal candidate has a problem-solving attitude, understands supply planning business processes, and can facilitate the best use of networking capital (inventory, storage cost, logistics costs).

Responsibilities

Allocating Inventory

  • Review IBP allocation and adjust based on stock availability, market freshness requirements, and active versions.
  • Collaborate with the web team to ensure stock availability, provide inventory level recommendations, run analysis, investigate out-of-stock root causes, and propose proactive solutions.
  • Coordinate drop shipments.
  • Collaborate with the U.S. sales team for domestic stock allocation.

Controlling Optimal Inventory Level

  • Utilize inventory management systems to track and analyze stock levels.
  • Review below-target KPIs (fill rate and inventory coverage) and initiate problem-solving efforts.
  • Assess short-term forecast changes and advise on inventory availability.
  • Review low inventory lists and advise on item priorities with multiple teams (e.g., production, quality, assembly, warehouse, transportation).
  • Validate projected inventory to minimize excess stock and obsolete products.
  • Provide a list of excess stock and obsolete products, and follow up on key actions to reduce liabilities.
  • Communicate out-of-stock reports and risks of shortage.
  • Execute quality release in systems.
  • Produce and share reports of open orders.

Maintaining S&OP Parameters

  • Calculate and update safety stock and safety time regularly.
  • Gather information on item version switches, run analysis to estimate actual switch dates, and provide visibility on ATS (available to ship) dates.
  • Update product status and discontinuation dates.

Requirements

  • College degree in a relevant field or related job experience (including internships and co-ops).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., xlookup, pivot tables, sumif, subtotal, conditional formatting, power query).
  • 0-2 years of planning experience in a supply chain role, ideally in manufacturing or supplier environments within the consumer goods industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Lean Six-Sigma certification.
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions and their linkages.
  • Ability to manage priorities and collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Tuition Reimbursement

Pay

Salary: $70,080 - $105,120 per year. The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location.
