Planner, Supply Chain

About the role

This is a hybrid role: employees are expected to work from our Oxford, North Carolina office 3 days per week and may work remotely the remaining days. We currently have several Planner openings across both our Finished Goods Planning team and our Material & TPM Planning team. While each role supports a different area of our broader Supply organization, all planner positions share the same core purpose: ensuring strong service levels, reliable supply, and effective cross-functional alignment.

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for planning activities related to their assigned SKUs portfolio, which may include material inbound planning, long-term finished good planning, and/or production planning at Revlon factories and/or Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs). The objective is to maintain high customer service fulfillment while optimally controlling inventory levels to support demand plans for both domestic and international markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate a production plan, supply plan, and/or Master Production Plan to suppliers, operational business partners, and/or TPMs.
• Provide delivery commitments on materials (packaging components, chemicals, or finished goods/work-in-progress), collaborating with internal and external partners (Supply Planning, Vendors, Operations, Quality, Transportation, Finance/AP, Global Procurement, etc.).
• Work closely with suppliers/TPMs to deliver SKUs/items on time and in full quantities.
• Monitor service levels by SKU/item and report demand/supply chain issues on the Revlon Weekly Tracker.
• Partner with Demand Planning and Customer Logistics to resolve demand/supply issues and allocations.
• Perform supply/demand analysis (short and long term) with operations and suppliers, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months and comparing against Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP).
• Develop and manage the run strategy of assigned products, evaluate service/cost alternatives, and align system parameters to reflect decisions.
• Utilize capacity/demand (C/D) ratio to determine constraints and initiate resolution steps with cross-functional areas to optimize production plans.
• Coordinate and execute production sourcing moves to meet corporate objectives.
• Develop inventory targets and manage tasks to achieve corporate inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis.
• Maintain inventory at target levels while ensuring high service levels to customers.
• Project inventory levels on a quarterly basis.
• Monitor slow-moving/obsolete (SLOB) inventory and recommend actions for reducing, reworking, or proposing sales opportunities.
• Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan and/or supplier committed plan, identify gaps, and drive solutions.
• Review forecasts with Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing monthly to identify service gaps and potential SLOB.
• Analyze MRP data to control and verify delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Report KPIs (key performance indicators) in a timely manner.
• Support the S&OP process by reviewing service levels, evaluating performance against schedule, assessing inventory strategies, supply plans, and resources.
• Liaise with cross-functional partners throughout the product life cycle to ensure timely New Product Development (NPD) execution, implement Phase-In/Phase-Out (PIPO), and manage discontinuations while maintaining tight inventory control.
• Serve as the primary contact on inventory availability and production timing for Customer Logistics and Sales.
• Maintain frequent contact with vendors and internal customers to establish collaborative relationships, identify supply risks, escalate issues, and prepare alternate supply plans as necessary.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by VP, Director, or Supply Planning Manager.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or 5 years of related work experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems (MRP, MPS, Manugistics, and SAP).
• Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures, including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and prioritize data.
• Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts arising from balancing multiple priorities.
• Ability to creatively and effectively think and work “outside the box.”
• Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Schedule

Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000 per year. Base pay may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Certain positions may also be eligible for short-term incentives as part of total compensation.
