Planner/Scheduler - WtE (St. Petersburg, FL)
About the role
We support high work force productivity through planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work. We maintain a liaison between Operations and Maintenance for planning and scheduling. We ensure accurate data in the computerized maintenance management system and assist with scheduling and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Plans and schedules work orders including estimating work hours, analyzing tasks, requisitioning materials, and scheduling work.
- Analyzes facility maintenance needs, plans jobs, oversees preventive maintenance, and improves the program.
- Aids in administering outside contractor work, planning work orders, developing schedules for outages, and scheduling work by priority and criticality.
- Enforces safety regulations, reviews work orders for safety concerns, and suggests improvements to working conditions and equipment.
- Coordinates activities of individual departments, defines, tracks, and reports on maintenance backlog, and performs research to address work order needs.
- Prepares requisitions, works with purchasing agents, analyzes equipment failure and repair data, and prepares reports as requested.
- Operates various equipment, reads and understands technical drawings, completes training programs, follows safety procedures, and communicates effectively.
- Troubleshoots equipment, diagnoses problem areas, and performs other duties as requested.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, three years of related experience, ability to operate CMMS, and strong computer skills.
Qualifications
Minimal supervision necessary once tasks are mastered, shares expertise, manages stressful situations professionally, contributes to team spirit, accepts feedback, respects diversity, and works ethically.
Skills
Knowledge of computer programs like word processing and spreadsheets, ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings, and proficiency in the company's CMMS.
