Planner Scheduler

Overview

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling aspect of all work, developing job plans, meeting with work groups to resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintaining the Maximo maintenance management system.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Maintain Maximo set‑up equipment and preventative maintenance in Maximo.
• Distribute weekly planned work orders.
• Monitor open work orders.
• Run Business Objects reports.
• Enter all downtime/maintenance activities in Maximo.
• Close work orders.
• Maintain the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule.
• Schedule PMs with supervisors.
• Work with the warehouse to pull PM parts.
• Coordinate PMs with other maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain equipment files.
• Update mechanical integrity records as needed.
• Maintain shutdown checks.
• Work with supervisors on MIP meetings.
• Schedule and coordinate training, annual hoist inspections, in‑house training, and other activities.
• Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Field Supervisor.
• Review work orders for all significant information.
• Assign work orders needing planning and material to the planning backlog.
• Ensure work orders have proper approval and authority.
• Prepare weekly schedule and facilitate the weekly scheduling meeting.
• Prepare daily schedule for the maintenance supervisor.
• Receive and process daily schedule and late‑work reports from the previous day.
• Enter work orders into Maximo to accept charges and close when complete.
• Facilitate maintenance activity with production.
• Maintain integrity of the PM program (checklists, triggers, frequency, compliance, schedules) using Maximo.
• Establish and maintain equipment parts catalog, equipment history, storeroom inventory, and min/max levels.
• Compile weekly compliance reports.
• Coordinate with central shops and project schedules.
• Approve store and purchase requisitions for planned jobs.
• Review actual versus planned outcomes on completed work orders.
• Coordinate special programs such as ladder inspections and equipment surveys.
• Identify recurring maintenance problems.
• Maintain maintenance key performance indicators for the department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience operating and maintaining mechanical equipment and processes listed under job duties.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory safe driving record.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interface with teams, personnel, and vendors.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call‑outs as needed; ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lb.
• Ability to work in changing climate conditions and in close quarters (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing).
• Adherence to all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines (e.g., eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of gas processing or related experience, including use of Maximo.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, and/or relevant training.
