About the role

As a Planner, Production 2, you will independently manage SAP-based demand, supply, and production planning processes for assigned site operations and/or more complex contracts. You will analyze production schedules, material availability, WIP, inventory levels, and period-end reconciliation issues to determine planning priorities and resolve exceptions with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production and material plans for assigned site operations and/or more complex contracts; evaluate schedule requirements, WIP, inventory levels, and material availability to determine planning priorities and corrective actions.
  • Lead SAP planning administration for contracts, BOMs, routings, work centers, confirmations, and daily production records; review transaction accuracy, investigate exceptions, and direct corrections needed for period close (20%).
  • Partner with Procurement to determine material requirements, prepare and prioritize requisitions, and resolve supplier or order-timing issues affecting production schedule attainment and inventory targets (20%).
  • Direct monthly inventory reconciliation activities for assigned areas, assign count validation work, analyze variances, and determine actions to align inventory records with production schedules and lot forecasts (20%).
  • Perform other administrative production and material planning duties as assigned; may lead special planning analyses or process-improvement efforts for assigned operations (20%).
  • Lead production planning meetings for assigned areas; provide guidance to Operations, Quality, Inventory, Procurement, and Finance on planning risks, priorities, and decisions to maintain delivery commitments (10%).
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for SAP planning processes; train counterparts, review planning practices, and recommend process improvements to support accurate and compliant planning activity (10%).

Requirements

  • Advanced SAP production planning and materials management knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of demand planning, production planning, production scheduling, forecasting, inventory management, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on planning priorities, inventory actions, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to train others and recommend process improvements.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in production operations, materials planning, production planning, inventory control, procurement, or related supply chain function; experience resolving complex planning, inventory, and SAP transaction issues preferred.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $55,040 - $82,560. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
