Planner Production - 1st Shift - Forest, MS
About the role
This Position is responsible for coordinating and tracking raw material and products pertaining to species program type grade weight range and quality. Other duties include: schedule daily production monitor product position and coordinate all shipping activities; maintain constant communication with numerous business units including Production FSQA Materials Handling Sales Credit Transportation Customer Service and Export Services; monitor and coordinate shipping activities at outside storage facilities; provide for the efficient utilization of Company production storage and shipping resources by optimizing activities within operational capabilities; assist in scheduling forward warehouses value-added production and raw material sourcing.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an academic field more closely related to the duties of the Position is preferred
- 2 plus years of industry experience in Planning Operations, Sales, or Accounting is preferred
- Requires the ability to comprehend and execute planning processes through available existing software tools provided to the Production Planning Team
- The preferred experience with software includes proprietary Tyson programs such as the Product Availability System PA and the Order Processing System ORP
- The Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word is preferred experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- The ability to prioritize and manage numerous duties, time-sensitive tasks, and pertinent communication simultaneously is essential
- The need to build productive working relationships with Supervisors, Peers, Production, Warehousing, and Sales Team members, along with an extensive group of individuals from various Support Teams is crucial
- Experience and proficiency in data entry skills is strongly preferred
- Travel: 1 to 3 domestic plant location trips per year
