About the role
The Maintenance Planner at OXEA Corporation is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is planned meticulously to meet business priorities, budget requirements, and operational needs. This role involves multi-craft planning and coordination, including turnaround activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan all aspects of approved maintenance work notifications to achieve business priorities, including identification, sequencing, and documentation of time, materials, and resources for all crafts and services.
- Identify job scope, safety regulations, operations coordination, and resource requirements to generate work plans, resulting in accurate budget estimates and forecasts for job completion.
- Walk down jobs and obtain necessary documentation, involving additional resources from engineering, maintenance, operations, and leadership as required.
- Verify process-specific materials, availability of replacement materials, and place material orders as needed.
- Secure outside services and vendors for maintenance jobs and provide documentation for securing these services.
- Support craft personnel and resources during job execution to clarify plans and job deliverables.
- Perform work according to standard business work processes and identify/implement improvements.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Key Interactions
- Internal: Work closely with GateKeeper and Work Process Lead
- External: Third-party contractors, vendors/suppliers
Notable Working Conditions
Mixture of office and chemical plant as necessary. This position requires responding to after-hours calls and emails as directed by the Work Group Lead. Regular schedule is 4-10's.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Language Requirements
English
Minimum Requirements
- Approximately 10 years of combined Leadership experience in Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational functions.
- Multi-group supervisory experience in Maintenance, Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Technical roles.
- 5 years in Maintenance Planning or equivalent role.
- Experience in a Chemical/Petrochemical manufacturing environment.
- 5 years planning experience in SAP.
Desired
- 7 years in Maintenance Planning role.
- Direct work experience in multiple crafts including piping, civil, instruments, mechanical equipment, rotating equipment, structural, and electrical.
- Maintenance planning in SAP including requisitioning and report generation.
- Turnaround planning experience.
- CWI certification with 2+ years of experience.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
Competencies and Skills
- Knowledge of multiple maintenance crafts, including support services.
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and all plant safety requirements and procedures.
- Working knowledge of personal computer tools including standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experience using an ERP system (such as SAP).
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizing skills, scheduling, coordination, and budget management.
- Working knowledge of CAD drawings and Blue Beam Revu.
