Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Determine job priorities, quantities, and required completion dates.
- Direct Planner I on job creation, release timing, and execution priorities.
- Analyze capacity and material constraints to ensure achievable production plans.
- Confirm ship dates for new customer orders in coordination with Sales.
- Evaluate and respond to customer pull-in requests, determining feasibility based on capacity and lead time.
- Continuously assess part availability, including supplier lead times and inventory, when making planning decisions.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality to align planning activities.
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including updating item revisions and modifying Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Create and maintain item master data and new BOMs.
- Manage changes impacting production schedules and material requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality on non-conforming materials and determine disposition based on production demand.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or unforeseen conditions.
- Support reporting and performance tracking such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and system accuracy.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Essential Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with ERP/MRP tools.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, lead times, and capacity planning.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Syteline ERP system.
- Experience with BOM management and engineering change processes.
- Experience supporting multi-product or complex manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
This is an onsite, highly collaborative team environment with business hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm. The office features shorter cubicles that allow for easy communication and collaboration. Pay
The pay range for this position is $29.00 – $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
