Planner

Provide tactical execution of purchasing function through the product life cycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) to base business.

Responsibilities

• Support general purchase orders life cycle management including RFP, PO generation, receipt, and invoicing.
• Maintain integrity of POs, ensuring orders are accurate in the system.
• Develop and execute Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure supply reliability, confirm availability, and expedite orders.
• Resolve invoicing issues related to POs.
• Collaborate with R&D and Supplier Quality during supplier issue resolution.
• Monitor supply reliability, NPD supplier performance (On-Time Delivery - OTD), and inventory.
• Execute negotiations, receiving priorities, inspection priorities, Slob Review, PIR creation/updates, PPV analysis, annual standard cost review, safety stock (SS) analysis, lead time (LT) review/update, and CO approval.
• Partner with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Sourcing for supplier quality issues and planning activities.
• Support working capital (WC), Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), constrained Master Production Schedule (cMPS) volume alignment, production schedules, work order (WO) creation, and shop floor control.
• Provide support for prioritization of inspection priorities.
• Capture, reconcile, and report metrics data.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of data and convert it into clear business information.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and provide business insights.
• Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication for the audience and present to small-medium sized groups.
• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, APO, SNP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS, IBF).
• Planning or manufacturing experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or consumer industries.
• Ability to apply project and person leadership to achieve project, team, and individual goals.
• Ability to influence others in a matrix environment.
• Ability to challenge the status quo, evaluate processes for refinements, and use continuous improvement tools to enhance results, productivity, or quality.
