About the role
This position provides planning and operations support to an assigned value stream, acting as the liaison between operations, supply chain, and sales teams. The Planner will create and manage work orders to completion, maintain work order dates, improve the MRP system and assigned MRP parameters, and develop and maintain the capacity plan for their assigned value stream. The role also involves delivering high-level customer service to both internal and external customers by providing timely and accurate information about work orders, sales orders, and materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintains MRP and Evo system data to support effective scheduling and delivery to customers
- Supports material handling teams to ensure work orders start on time and operations are set up for success
- Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions for on-time delivery (OTD) misses
- Engages cross-functionally with multiple departments and drives constructive conflict
- Understands and maintains capacity planning concepts and settings to manage customer orders and workload
- Proactively evaluates work order shortages and collaborates with the purchasing team to expedite purchase orders to meet customer due dates
Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Operations is strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of planning or equivalent Supply Chain experience is required
- SAP experience
- CPIM certification through APICS or willingness to complete the certification within 1 year of employment is required
