About the role

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is seeking a Planner for its Davenport, IA facility. The role is expected to pay between $71,000 and $105,000 annually, with actual salaries determined by individual qualifications and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Executes planning activities in line with defined lean inventory, production, and procurement strategies for materials, supporting capacity planning and scheduling for production and/or purchased materials.
• Plans/schedules internal work orders in accordance with the needs of the build schedule, revenue plan, and customer commitments.
• Maintains production schedule for internal manufacturing operations to achieve OTTB goals and revenue plans.
• Optimizes job schedule to minimize inventory and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Monitors performance of production schedule and reviews exception messages for work orders in MRP.
• Runs dispatch reports for work cells to communicate required completions and set priorities.
• Supports cross-functional continuous improvement projects and conducts root-cause analysis on excess/obsolete inventory.
• Supports design and manufacturing engineering in reviewing, approving, and implementing drawing changes.
• Manages inventory discrepancies and investigates discrete job variances.
• Understands and applies planning order modifiers, including safety stock, shrink rates, maximum order quantities, and other parameters.
• Coordinates with material handlers and purchasing on outside processing of parts.
• Works with design and manufacturing engineering to review, approve, and implement drawing changes, focusing on cost and quality while minimizing inventory.
• Reads and understands drawings and bills of material to ensure compliance with production requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and 2+ years of supply chain experience OR
• HS Diploma/GED and 4+ years of supply chain experience

No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA to be considered. Qualifications
